Deep Dive:
Snowflake's investments in AI infrastructure and agent capabilities align with customer interest in how this technology can reshape business processes and personalize customer and employee experiences.
Global financial services firm BNY has deployed multiple AI agents in its operations, including digital engineers that can find and fix low-complexity code issues. Meanwhile, retail giant Walmart has rolled out different agent platforms, bringing the technology to every part of its operations.
According to Gartner , agentic AI is driving enterprises to rethink how they run their businesses.8 out of 10 CEOssay autonomous AI will meaningfully transform their operational capabilities.
Vendors are racing to meet enterprise demand for this technology.
Google launched its Gemini 3.5 model family for agentic work earlier this month. LLM provider Anthropic also released AI agent templates for financial services firms earlier this month, while OpenAI partnered with ServiceNow in January to enhance its enterprise AI capabilities.
Snowflake is also competing for enterprise spending, having built partnerships with several companies over the past few months to achieve this, including the recent expansion with AWS. The company expanded its partnership with Anthropic and Accenture in December to scale enterprise agent and generative AI adoption.
"Our platform brings together the four elements organizations need to become agentic enterprises," Ramaswamy said on this week's earnings call. "A unified, governed data foundation; access to leading AI models; connectivity across enterprise applications and workflows; and a unified agent control plane that turns intent into governed action."
However, even as agentic AI adoption sweeps across industries, CIOs are still seeking balance among technology, processes, and people. At the MIT Sloan CIO Symposium earlier this month, technology leaders emphasized the critical importance of investing in employees to ensure the long-term success of AI projects.
