StackGen Report: AI-Related Incidents Surge 500% in Three Years, Agentic AI Has Caused Multiple Data Destructions
StackGen's latest research shows that the number of AI-related incidents has surged by 500% (i.e., a sixfold increase) over the past three years. The platform analyzed approximately 180,000 public records and found that AI now accounts for one-tenth of security, privacy, and operational incidents. Since last year, there have been at least 9 documented cases where AI agents deleted data, databases, or disrupted production systems. Experts are calling for stronger safeguards and third-party collaboration.
